Prof. Michael Schreiber
FIRST Meeting: 12 April 2010 Room P031 !!!
Time: 11:30 h
This term the course is not planned as a lecture
but rather as a discussion group. It is the aim to get more acquainted with
the English language, by treating problems which may not all be of
strictly scientific nature but are connected with the daily life in
studying and afterwards.
For example:
- Bachelor and Master programs
- Ethics in science
- History of Science
- Job market for physicists
- Topics in Sociophysics
- Climate change and Energy resources
Other possible topics would be recent Nobel
prizes in physics and chemistry.
Students are expected to prepare the topic for each
week by reading some relevant articles which will be the starting point
of the discussions.
